Ezekwesili canvasses competent civil service for FG’s reforms –    On 24th June, 2015, Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, yesterday, said the  vision to reform the country will require a civil service with character, capacity and competence where the operatives are not immune to changes

She spoke at this year’s Lagos Public Service Day held in Ikeja, with the theme: ‘The role of public service in women empowerment, innovation and accessible service delivery,’ to honour 551 civil servants who have served in the state public service for over 30 years

She lamented that the civil servants in the country had abandoned merit and result oriented strategies, noting that this was why a country like Singapore had overtaken the country in development. Read on..
